The rotating spiral scroll design produces a continuous flow of compressed air in multiple stages without the need for oil lubrication. Scroll compressed air systems operate quieter and smoother than reciprocating compressed air systems because there are only two moving parts – the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll. Fewer parts make scroll compressors energy efficient, highly reliable and less prone to mechanical failure. Compared with rotary screw compressors, scroll compressors have less vibration and are almost noiseless.
